You can also always pick out CG Friendly products at the beginning to start with a simple system of taking care of your hair and then reintroduce Non-CG Friendly products once you’ve got the techniques down! I urge you to experiment and see what works best for you. That doesn’t mean, and I stress, is the only way to take care of wavy or curly hair. Recently trying conditioner and creams with silicones haven’t worked out so well for me, so I generally avoid them. Now as well, since I have chronic dandruff, I regularly use a medicated anti-dandruff shampoo in rotation with a CG Friendly Shampoo (without sulphates) because I find using sulphate shampoos each wash leaves my hair feeling very stripped and hay like. Many curly people across the world use Non CG Friendly products and are happy with the results. It worked out fine for me then- not as amazing as I get the results now, but that is my personal experience. Now, I have personally found using CG Friendly products most of the time reduce the dryness after shampooing and keep my curls defined without them feeling weighed down.ĭoes that mean products with sulphates and silicones are bad? Silicones are wonderful ingredients that smoothen the hair strands and reduce frizz, can however build up on your hair over time and need a sulphate shampoo to wash out. Broadly, sulphates are ingredients that mimic detergents and while they deep clean really well, they can over do it, leaving our naturally dry texture even more dry. Most of these products listed below are CG Friendly, that is, free from Sulphates & Silicones. Realizing conditioning products are more important when it comes to taming frizz than shampoos or serums in necessary. What techniques?
